MOST IMPORTANTLY: If it's not in the rules, and does not encompass the spirit of fun, controlled racing with realistic looking cars, consider it illegal. This is called the "Spirit of USGT" Rule.

Body Specifications:

Refer to body list for currently available/approved bodies. FWD MUST use FWD bodies.

Scale realism consideration:

Bodies intended for the USGT class should conform as closely as possible to the full scale car it represents. Added elements, including, but not limited to, cuts, channels, raised or lowered sections of the body, additional air control devices and distortion of the body shape are prohibited. Only the addition of a front splitter is allowed. While recognizing that translation of a full scale car to a 1/10 radio control model is never perfect, intentional distortion for aerodynamic gain is cause for rejection of a body.

A sample of the body may be requested for examination.

Body approval is a subjective process. The main aim is to preserve scale looks over ultimate aerodynamic performance. Questions on design can be sent to rjvking@hotmail.com prior to production.

Examples of bodies considered for approval:

*Can AM or IMSA style bodies, similar to 1/12 or 1/8 bodies using an integrated wing are illegal. EX: Porsche 962 style bodies or LeMans P1.

*Japanese GT OK

*German DTM OK

*NO Trucks vans minivans school buses garbage trucks, utility vehicles, moon landers, zambonis,golf carts, quads, etc allowed.

*No fantasy or unproduced concept vehicles. If it’s not a car it’s not legal.

DISCONTINUED BODIES:

Discontinued unlisted bodies will be added as the USVTA sees fit to add them in based on the spirit of the class. Your Local track can always make adjustments to this rule...Please use the following if you want to deviate from the Body list for local racing

DISCONTINUED BODIES general guidelines:

*Any 190mm or 200mm body appropriate for this class.

*Body can be any body that is NOT or HAS NOT BEEN on the ROAR T2 body list.

Track director or race promoter has the final say on legality of discontinued unlisted bodies.

Altering the body for the purpose of lightening by sanding, scraping, or any other method is ILLEGAL.

Minimum finished body weight : 95 g -- Any weight which must be added to body for minimum weight requirement must be added on the underside of the roof panel

Paint:

Scale type race liveries encouraged. Ugly bodies will berated and scorned. No clear bodies.

Splitter:

Bodies not equipped with a front splitter / spoiler may attach a flat lexan splitter to the front lower fascia. This must protrude from the front end parallel to the ground/track surface. When measured from the vertical surface of the body, it may extend up to 8mm. This device may only be mounted between the forward edges of the front wheel well arches. Bodies with molded in splitters may not extend or improve the molded in device.

Wing:

Any "SCALE" molded wings can be used.

Lexan wings 10mm maximum height / side dam height must match top edge of wing. Side dam may extend below wing. See diagram (courtesy Mike Rydwell).

Clear wings not allowed.
